Produces attractive coloured stems in yellow, gold, orange, pink, violet and striped green and white. Highly productive for continuous cutting. Great in salads and stir fries.

Sow

Sow direct in warm conditions or raise in trays of Yates Seed Raising Mix. Firm down and keep moist. Transplant when 5cm high.

Care

Grow in sun or semi-shade. Enrich soil with organic fertiliser (such as Yates Blood & Bone or Dynamic Lifter) before planting. Feed plants regularly with Yates Thrive Soluble Plant Food. Continuous harvest promotes new growth. Protect plants from snails and slugs with Yates Blitzem.

Hint

Great companion plant for beets, marjoram and onion. Harvest by pulling (rather than cutting) stems, starting with the outside leaves.
