how to get rid of "nursery weed" which is taking over my gravel garden; there is a membrane under the gravel

Submitted: 10:50PM, 17 Jul 2012
Answer: Hi Amanda,
Cardamine hirsuta or Flickweed is commonly found in nurseries and has a seed pod that shoots the seeds into the air when disturbed. Another common weed is Chamaesyce prostrata or caustic creeper.
Apart from hand weeding, a herbicide such as Zero Glyphosate could be applied when the weeds are actively growing.

During winter plant growth (including weed growth) slows down. This can result in also slowing down the effect of herbicides so results may not be seen for 3 weeks.
