Cycad blue moth infestation

I have tried diluted vinegar and household insect spray ( internet recommendations) to no avail: the larvae still hatched and caused damage to all new growth on both my cycads

Answer: Hi Catherine,

Thank you for contacting Yates.

For the control of the Cycad Blue Moth larvae we recommend applying Yates Success Ultra Insect Control. This is best applied as soon as you see the blue butterflies gathering around your plant.

Ensure that you also feed your Cycad well during the growing season to further assist with their strength. An application of Dynamic Lifter Soil Improver & Plant Fertiliser in Spring and Autumn is all they need for year round help.

Kind regards,

Stephanie
