Ask a question now...sowing 300 square metres of lawn

Hi i live in southern nsw and the backyard is full of weed.I was wanting to put kikyu turf down. Should i scrape off the top soil and replace it and what time of year would be best

Answer: Hi there,
What you would need to do is to spray some Zero glyphosate on the weeds and wait for them to die down.this may take a couple of weeks depending on the weather.You can add some top dressing from your landscape supplier and even it out with a rake. Then add your turf,this is normally done in autumn when the weather is cooler. You can use some seaweed solution to help the roots establish. I hope this helps
