Raised garden bed with organic compost. When i water the soil is wet on top but dry underneath. How can i fix?

Thank you for contacting Yates.

Your garden bed soil and compost has become hydrophobic, meaning that it is repelling the water that is applied and not absorbing it. This is common occurrence and is easy to overcome with a good quality soil wetter such as Yates Waterwise Soil Saturator.

This is best applied at least once a month in the warmer weather to assist the moisture absorption into the soil.
