Mari
Ring barked accidentally an acacia, can it be repaired?

Plant is an acacia I think, of 2 years established in situ. Some green is still visible but mostly I cut through to the inner wood with a lawn edger. Another lesser limb is unharmed.

Answer: Dear Mari,

The fact that the acacia is 2years old and has established itself in your garden, it may have a chance of surviving.

At this stage I would nurse it along with applications of seaweed extract which will help to lessen the shock it would be experiencing. Time will tell if it is going to survive. Apply the seaweed extract every 2 – 4 weeks.
