General question - Would it be okay to plant a cycad within 1.5m from an inground pool

Submitted: 01:56PM, 27 Sep 2011
Answer: Hi Laurelle,
Although Cycads are slow growing they do become quite large and may grow to over 1 metre in diameter. The leaves are quite sharp and may scratch people if planted too close to the pool edge. If the environmetal conditions are suitable to grow cycads a smaller one could be planted. Wash off pool water if splashed onto the leaves.
