Mulch Problem

Hi Have just layed a rich mushroom/compost mix in and around my established garden beds. I havent used this type before, we bought a trailer load of it from someone who recomended it to us. I dug it in where I could. But now my fucia leaves are dropping off extremely yellow leaves with green spots and a lot of my plants (snapdragons etc) are wilting. I made sure to keep the mulch away from the stems of my plants. Can you advise me please.
Thank you
Lynda

Answer: Dear Lynda,

Compost mixes are such a variable product that it is difficult to make a comment on the outcome when mixed with existing soils. What we would suggest is that you contact the supplier of this product who I am sure you will be able to advise you further.
