Caroline
I use Yates Water soluble fertiliser - both types for my potted garden and because I dont have pot trays, the water runs off onto a concreted area - could this be harmful to my dog?

I am very happy with these products as they are giving me very good results and my plants - a variety of shrubs, flowering and non-flowering and a beautiful palm - are all very healthy looking and growing profusely.

Answer: Dear Caroline,

One should always exercise caution when using fertilisers around pets. When you are fertilising your plants in pots, hose off that excess fertiliser that has drained onto the concrete area which should quickly dry out when exposed to sunlight.

Glad to hear you are having great results with your flowering plants.
