Why are the leaf tips on my potted Wollemi Pine going yellow?

Submitted: 01:05PM, 26 Mar 2010
Answer: Dear Lindsay,

Wollemi Pines can be attacked by ordinary garden pests such as aphids, thrips, caterpillars, and thrips. It would be a good idea to check for any evidence of pest attack and use the appropriate pesticide.

Wollmei Pines are also sensitive to overwatering. As a general rule of thumb, check the soil first moisture before watering. Only fertilise with a fertiliser that is low in phosphorus, e.g. a native slow release fertiliser.
